General Counsel (GenAI)

Black Forest Labs is a cutting-edge startup pioneering generative image and video models. Our team, which invented Stable Diffusion, Stable Video Diffusion, and FLUX.1, is currently seeking a General Counsel to provide expert legal guidance and support our rapid growth in the AI space. 

Role:

• Provide expert legal counsel to the executive team on all legal matters affecting the company.
• Oversee, execute and manage all legal aspects of the business, including contracts, compliance, intellectual property, and regulatory affairs.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the company's interests and support its growth.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in technology and GenAI sectors.
• Manage relationships with external legal firms and coordinate any outsourced legal work.
• Advise on risk management and develop policies to minimize legal risks.

Ideal Experiences:

• Extensive experience as a legal counsel role within the tech industry.
• Strong background in intellectual property law, with experience in patents and trademarks.
• Familiarity with regulations related to artificial intelligence, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
• Proven track record in handling complex legal negotiations and drafting contracts.
• Experience working in startups or high-growth companies on legal and regulatory matters.
