General Counsel to an Investment Company

Job Summary

We are looking for a General Counsel with authority and extensive experience in building and developing a business-driven and value-adding legal function. The candidate we are looking for should have the trust of management, board and other stakeholders, and experience participating in international business contexts.

The General Counsel will serve as the chief legal advisor to the company, providing legal guidance and ensuring strategic and effective business risk management. This role involves managing all legal matters, including corporate affairs, corporate commercial,  and corporate governance. 

The General Counsel will be joining the executive team, and will be based in the headquarters in Stockholm.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A processes, including divestments and acquisitions.


• Structure funds


• Support future IPO process


• Serve as a member of the executive management team.


• Support in international negotiations

Who are we looking for?

You should have a Master of Laws degree from an accredited Swedish law school and minimum 10 years of relevant experience from top tier law firms and corporate legal department.

Other qualifications:

• Proven track record from working with capital markets, in managing commercial contracts and corporate governance.


• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.


• Experience in working in Private Equity


• International legal experience from UK and/or Luxembourg.


• Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.


• Fluency in English.
