You as our Group Head of Compliance and Data Protection Officer


As our new Group Head of Compliance, you will be a member of the Group Legal, Compliance, Insurance and Risk Management team and provide business-oriented, strategic support covering all compliance, data protection and enterprise risk management aspects of our global business.


You will safeguard our reputation by assuring compliance of the company in all areas. You report directly to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, who is a member of the Group Executive Management Team.



Tasks & Responsibilities


  • Design the Global Compliance strategy and draft the Compliance Annual Plan.
  • Develop, update, and implement company-wide compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to policies to align with changing legal requirements.
  • Supervise the Compliance organization and ensure Global deployment of the compliance plan.
  • Act as the Compliance Committee Secretary, prepare the agenda, the committee supporting material as well as minute the meetings.
  • Support the General Counsel in drafting Board of Directors as well as Board Audit Committee presentation, reports, and analysis.
  • Support the Company in achieving relevant compliance certifications (e.g., ISO 37001, ECOVADIS)
  • Stay updated with relevant laws and regulations in the industry and ensure the company's compliance.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Ensure implementation of relevant changes through the Compliance framework.
  • Supervise the Whistleblowing Platform in cooperation with the Compliance Officer, the internal investigators, and the external platform provider.
  • Lead internal investigations into compliance-related issues, violations, and breaches.
  • Implement corrective actions together with relevant stakeholders and communicate findings to the Compliance Committee.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
  • Ensure inclusion and integration of relevant fraud risks into the enterprise risk management framework.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Oversee enterprise risk management processes and work closely with relevant stakeholders to assess, mitigate, and monitor risks across the organization.
  • Ensure consistency between Internal Audit assessment and the Enterprise risk management framework.
  • Act as the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO) and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR.
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.
  • Respond to data subject requests, conduct data protection impact assessments, and ensure data processing activities are compliant.
  • Be the main point of contact for data incident management in collaboration with IT, IT security, Business continuity and external advisors.
  • Supervise and animate the Global Data Protection Community
  • Review and negotiation Data Protection Agreements in collaboration with the Legal, Procurement and Commercial departments.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees to raise awareness of compliance and data protection issues.
  • Create educational materials and resources for ongoing training programs.
  • Create recurrent communications campaign to ensure employees information.
  • Prepare and submit compliance and data protection reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, reports, investigations, and data protection practices.
  • Collaborate with different departments to integrate compliance, data protection, and risk management practices into daily operations.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, data protection, and risk awareness through effective communication and training initiatives.
  • Supervise the Compliance Officer activity.
  • Transversally supervise the Data Protection Community as well as the Regional and Local Compliance Officers assigned tasks.
  • Support the General Counsel as well as the Legal Department on any other relevant Project and KPI.


Qualifications and Competencies


  • Master’s degree in law.
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance management, data protection, and enterprise risk management within a multinational company.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), and risk management principles.
  • Professional certification in compliance, data protection, or risk management is a plus (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Information Privacy Professional, Certified Risk Management Professional).
  • Professional proficiency in English (business language) is a must.
  • Excellent project management skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Team player in a fast-paced and diverse high-performance culture
  • Strong business acumen, high analytical skills, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability and experience to work in a global environment.
