  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture aligned with AMP’s values, and ensure seamless delivery of legal services to the AMP superannuation trustee (STO) and other key stakeholders.

  • Build exceptional relationships with key stakeholders, actively participate in business and L&G leadership teams and provide timely updates on key legal matters to the Group General Counsel, exemplifying executive leadership.

  • Plan, manage, and deliver legal services for the S&I business, ensuring timely advice on incidents and breaches, supporting the Incident Assessment Group and Breach Review Committee and providing legal assistance for AMP’s strategic initiatives, including new business opportunities and acquisitions.

  • Provide thought leadership and relevant legal advice aligned with AMP’s business strategies, actively manage legal issues and risks in key projects, stay updated on financial services changes, manage conflicts of interest, share important advice with L&G teams, supervise external legal counsel, and drive continuous improvement for efficient legal services delivery.

What you will bring to the team

  • Extensive experience and outstanding legal skills in superannuation law and practice with a product background and regulatory and compliance environments with the ability to contribute to business plans and strategy.

  • Proven ability to drive change, deliver results through leadership and coaching, and present effectively to senior leadership and boards.

  • Outstanding presentation skills, experience in advising boards, managing operational risk, and understanding industry trends in wealth management, especially super and pensions.
